Garden Fest

6th Annual Garden Fest
May 11th and 12th, 2012
in the Enid A. Haupt Garden behind the Smithsonian Castle.

More details to come!

Garden Fest highlights the important contributions gardens and plants make in our daily lives and the connections they foster in our communities and to the world at large.

What is Garden Fest?
The idea for Garden Fest was sown in 2006 and has grown into an annual all day family-friendly event presented by the Smithsonian Gardens (SG) at the Smithsonian Institution. The purpose of Garden Fest is to highlight each of the Smithsonian gardens and connect people to plants through educational demonstrations and engaging hands-on activities. Demonstrations focus on topics such as floriculture, landscape and container design, greenhouse production, garden history, and environmental stewardship and conservation. Garden Fest takes place each year in the Enid A. Haupt Garden during late spring.
