General
The estate is small and on a sloping site. The west terrace is paved and centered on a rectangular lily pool with potted plants for decoration. On the north part of the property four small garden spaces are connected with an axial gravel walkway. A fountain with a herm surrounded by a perennial garden on both sides of the walkway leads to a rose garden and semi-circular bench. All the other spaces on the property are naturalistic in design.

    Summary
    The Malcolm Howard Dill Collection contains 17 35mm slide reproductions of photographs of and design plans for private and community projects in Ohio and Indiana by the landscape architect, Malcolm Howard Dill.
    Biographical/Historical note
    Malcolm Howard Dill graduated from Harvard's School of Landscape Architecture in 1920. After establishing a private practice, he did community planning and city planning and later went on to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority's Norris Dam project in the 1930s.

    Custodial History note
    In 1995, Malcolm Dill's daughter, Elizabeth Dill Hume, loaned select plans and drawings of her father's work to Diane Clark of the Garden Club of America who in turn sent them to the Archives of American Gardens for the purpose of having 35mm slide reproductions made of them. The original plans and drawings were returned to Elizabeth Dill Hume.
