General
The home was dismantled, moved, and reconstructed as the Sigma Phi fraternity house (Van Rensselaer Hall) at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts in the late 1890s. (Van Rensselaer Hall was demolished in 1973.) The interiors were donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The images likely date from before the house was dismantled and were reproduced at a later date as glass lantern slides.
