General
Facing west, southwest from southeast yard. Residence 'View Celeste', front, foundation planting - boxwood, taxus, and hollies. House built in 1963, by husbands grandmother. House remodeled in 1952. South fence - boxwood garden, 1963. The land surrounding our yard has been in continuous cotton production since about 1820. The land never changed hands since being received by my husband's ancestors as a grants from early presidents to the first settlers in the area, as payment for surveying this area. The compass used is displayed in our living room. Brick wall and boxwood border, lirope edge, hostas and mixed lilies.
