Fairlane was a 2,150 acre estate in 1914-1916. The Gothic mansion was covered in ivy and consisted of 31,770 square feet of living space. The property had a 20 car garage, laboratory and a variety of gardens such as a peony garden, iris garden, English garden, Burroughs Grotto, blue garden, rock garden, trail gardens and rose garden. s
