Description
This cultivar of the river birch, trademarked Dura Heat, is a smaller version of the species which can grow in even warmer temperatures and has slightly whiter bark - although the white color will be less developed if planted in the shade. It also has slightly better resistance to pests and disease.
The seed source for this tree is north Florida.
