A river runs through my city. There is a bike/walking trail next to it. It is natures garden with berry bushes, acorns, and all manner of wildlife.

I go there when my soul is weary. My bike flies along the trail and the trees, water, bushes and sky pull the sadness from me. It is called forest bathing.

I can smell the ripe berries. I hear the birds sing. The sun heats me and the wind cools me down. My eyes release the tension. My head eases back to now.

The water carries away the worry, and leaves space to breathe.

Covid reminded me of this place, and I go there most days.

It is always different.
